Miriam Klulich

Miriam Klüglich began studying music and French at the University of Music and Performing Arts and the University of Stuttgart in 2011. With an artistic bachelor's degree in violin with Christian Sikorski, she further developed her instrumental skills. She was exposed to further musical influences during her semesters abroad in Prague and Montreal, as well as through attending master classes led by renowned musicians including Concerto Köln, Mayumi Hirasaki, and Clive Brown, among others. In 2020 she completed a Masters in Chamber Music with Kyoko Yonemoto and Igor Roma at the Maastricht Conservatory. She has a special emphasis on her chamber music partnership with Harald Sinot in the Duo Érable, which was awarded first prize at the Italian competition 'Città di Barletta'. Miriam Klüglich plays a French violin from 1899.

Harald Sinot

Born in 1991, Harald Sinot started playing the piano at the age of five, after private lessons with Dominique Delettre. He then enrolled at the Conservatory of Châlons-en-Champagne, where he received the teaching of Michèle and Jean Dumaux. After obtaining his high school diploma, he joined the Regional Conservatory of Reims, where he earned his Diploma of Musical Studies (DEM) in piano under the guidance of Julien Médous.

In 2010, Harald continued his musical education in Germany, in Lübeck, where he studied with Konstanze Eickhorst. The following year, he recorded a solo CD in Rennes, in collaboration with the Forgotten Records label. Thanks to a solid pedagogical background, he started giving private piano lessons in Lübeck.

After obtaining his Master's degree in piano in 2016, Harald dedicated himself to chamber music and continued his studies in this field, obtaining a new Master's degree with the jury's compliments. He also participated in several masterclasses with the Stenzl duo, Bernd Glemser, Philippe Cassard, and Enrico Pace, allowing him to travel throughout Europe. At the same time, he taught at the Conservatory of Horb and Wildberg, and received the valuable advice of André Laplante in Montreal and Igor Roma in Maastricht. Finally, Harald obtained his third Master's degree in duo with Miriam Klüglich in Maastricht.

Duo Érable
Duo Érable

Since its foundation in 2015 as a deliberately 'European' duo, Miriam Klüglich on violin and pianist Harald Sinot have been working on programs centered around their home countries of Germany and France. Awarded with the Primo Premio Assoluto at the international Città di Barletta competition (Italy) in 2018, the duo performs regularly in southern Germany and France. After a joint study abroad semester at the Conservatoire de Musique de Montréal (with André Laplante, among others), the duo received further artistic impulses, particularly from Ákos Hernádi, Christian Sikorski, Marina Chiche and Clive Brown. Between 2018 and 2020, Miriam Klüglich and Harald Sinot completed the Master of Chamber Music program at the Conservatorium Maastricht with Igor Roma and Kyoko Yonemoto as a duo. The Duo Érable regularly expands its musical activities into additional chamber music forms, such as a piano quartet or a piano trio.
